This gravity-dependent Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) device is easy to use to mobilize lung secretions. Inside the device is a weighted ball. When you breathe into the Shaker Medic Plus, the ball is briefly raised during exhalation. This rising and falling action happens extremely quickly, creating a vibration sensation for the user. This vibration, combined with the gentle resistance created by exhaling against the ball, facilitates the secretions removal from the airways.
