Stella is a semi-automatic system for the high-level disinfection of heat-sensitive medical devices. Stella combines the simplicity of manual washing with the sophistication of an automatic disinfection machine. It is specially designed to reprocess small and medium-sized endoscopes, rigid or flexible, without or with a single lumen, used in Gynecology, IVF, Urology, Cardiology, ENT, Anesthesia and Pulmonology.

The cycle takes just 5 minutes when used with “Tristel Fuse for Stella” and 10 minutes when used with “Tristel Clean for Stella”. Before the cycle begins, the Stella system confirms that the Tristel Fuse chlorine disinfectant is being used and checks that there is no blockage of the working channel. At the end of the cycle, Stella flushes the channel and provides the user with a unique traceability code.

Stella achieves a reduced cost in two ways: firstly, the low investment compared to the alternative of an automatic washing and disinfection machine, and secondly, the short cycle time improves the productivity of the instrument by allowing it to operate with fewer devices.

Chlorine dioxide is safe for you, your patients and the environment. When Stella irrigates the lumen, it monitors the pressure of Tristel Fuse passing through the channel and adjusts the pressure to protect the inside of the working channel. The disinfectant moves in a pulsed rather than continuous manner, removing the bioburden as it goes.

Using Stella requires just six simple steps:
1. Switch on the Stella IQ
2. Switch on Stella Pulse
3. Add the pre-cleaned instrument – by connecting the instrument’s lumen connection to the Pulse
4. Add a sachet of Tristel Fuse for instruments to 5 liters of water and add the disinfectant to the Stella tub.
5. Put the lid on and the Stella system will do the rest. The cycle time is 5 minutes, at the end of each cycle the Stella system drains automatically.
6. At the end of the disinfection cycle, the Stella system will provide a validation code which confirms that the disinfection was successful. This code must be recorded in the Stella disinfection quality log book
