The PEA POD is an air displacement plethysmography system that uses whole body densitometry to determine body composition in babies weighing between 1 and 8 kg. The PEA POD is extremely simple to operate, with software instructions guiding the operator through each step of the process. A complete PEA POD test takes around 7 minutes.

The PEA POD is a complete device, with all the hardware and software needed to carry out an accurate body composition test, including a computer, trolley, integrated digital scale (for measuring body mass), and calibration weights. It is extremely simple to operate, with instructions that guide the operator through each step of the process. A complete test takes just 7 minutes.
The PEA POD uses a non-invasive method and is therefore suitable for longitudinal and frequent tracking of body composition over time. It adopts the same safety criteria as an incubator: constant temperature, ventilation, integrated CO2 sensors, HEPA filter to protect against airborne diseases and emergency stop. The child is clearly visible throughout the test period through the unit’s clear window.
