Gastrogenius is a portable desktop respiratory monitor that measures the levels of hydrogen, methane and oxygen in breath samples in response to appropriate substrates. It helps healthcare professionals detect gastrointestinal disorders such as food malabsorption, sugar intolerances and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) in a non-invasive way.

A group of patients who do not produce hydrogen may not be detected using the hydrogen breath test (HBT) alone. By performing the hydrogen and methane breath test (HMBT) with Gastrogenius you can detect patients who do not produce hydrogen but do produce methane or a combination of both.

The additional O2 reading in combination with a real-time traffic light display and a smiley face system help motivate patients to provide a final tidal volume sample. Gastrogenius provides automatic O2 correction for more accurate results. With instant results you can save time, without having to wait for lab results.
