Transcranial pulse stimulation (TPS®) for the stimulation of brain regions in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Transcranial Pulsed Stimulation allows non-invasive brain stimulation through the focal application of shock waves; coupled with a highly sophisticated real-time 3D neuronavigation system (BodyTrack®). The impulses penetrate the brain up to 8 cm deep and allow the induction of a biological process called mechanotransduction. The stimulation of growth factors, mainly VEGF, not only improves cerebral blood flow, but also promotes the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) and nerve regeneration. An additional effect is the release of nitric oxide (NO), which leads to direct vasodilation and improved blood circulation. With no need for prior preparation or immobilization of the patient, the treatment sessions are short, painless and have no side effects. NEUROLITH® makes it possible not only to maintain cognitive abilities and prevent the progression of the disease in patients with Alzheimer's disease (mild to moderate), but also to significantly improve them in terms of memory, daily activities, communication and social interactions.
