Tristel Duo is a chlorine dioxide foam mixing solution, suitable for high-level cleaning and disinfection of ultrasound probes. Tristel Duo offers optimum speed, safety, effectiveness and compatibility with all types of material. It contains two separate compartments, one with Tristel Base solution (citric acid) and the other with Tristel Activator solution (sodium chloride) which, when mixed by pressing the pump, generate chlorine dioxide in foam.
Tristel Duo for ultrasound can be used for high-level cleaning and disinfection of ultrasound probes such as transvaginal and transrectal ultrasound probes.
It is also possible to use Tristel Duo for high-level disinfection in non-invasive medical devices, such as:
” Bladder scanners
” Transabdominal probes
” Blood pressure cuffs
In just 30 seconds Tristel Duo for Ultrasound works as a sporicide, mycobactericide, virucide, fungicide and bactericide. Chlorine dioxide has been tested in accredited laboratories around the world and has proven to be effective against micro-organisms in ultrasounds, such as:
